THE FINAL
|
Sadly this is the final Wednesdays at Christ Church at Christ Church, Leatherhead. After a great deal of soul-searching, and with much sadness, the Elders and Congregation of the Church have decided it is time to close definitively.
COVID has got in the way of such concepts of a final service or a final organ concert, indeed we had planned a year of celebration of the instrument, with organist friends coming to present concerts each month. It just was not possible to do that in safety, and legally.
We hope there will be new life for the organ over which Director of Music Anthony Cairns has had considerable influence for the last 40 plus years. When there is firm news we will be putting that into our regular newsletters
